Frequently Asked Questions
Common queries about IPOs, Results, and Allotments in Nepal
How do I check my IPO result?
You can easily check your result by entering your **16-digit BOID number** in the search box above. The system instantly queries the official database to see if you have been allotted shares. Alternatively, you can use the official CDSC portal.
What if I forget my BOID number?
Your BOID (Beneficiary Owner ID) is the 16-digit number provided by your Capital (Broker). You can find it in your:
- MeroShare Profile (My Details)
- Demat Account Opening Form
- Cheque book of your linked bank account (sometimes)
Why am I not getting any IPOs?
IPO allocation in Nepal is now handled via a **lottery system** because demand is much higher than supply. If 20 lakh people apply for an IPO that only has quota for 2 lakh people, 18 lakh active investors will get "Not Allotted". It is purely based on luck.
What is CRN Number?
CRN (C-ASBA Registration Number) is a unique code provided by your bank after you fill out the C-ASBA form. It is required to apply for IPOs via MeroShare. It matches your bank account with your Demat account.
Can I apply for IPO from multiple accounts?
Yes, if you manage allocations for family members. However, one person can officially have only **two Demat accounts**, but can strictly apply for a specific IPO from **only one** account. Applying from multiple accounts for the same person leads to immediate disqualification.
How long does it take for listing?
After allotment, it generally takes **7 to 30 days** for the shares to be listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). Once listed, you can trade (buy/sell) these shares through your broker.
